Getting to UCCA
UCCA is located at the Dashanzi exit of Beijing’s Airport Expressway, between the high-rise bustle of Wangjing and the mellow tree-lined enclave of Lidu. The closest subway stops are Line 14 stations Wangjing Nan and Jiangtai (another station, Gaojiayuan, is under construction directly opposite the entrance to 798, but its opening has been repeatedly delayed.) Bus service is available at the Dashanlukou Nan and Wangyefen stops. Parking is available within 798 though can require patience and ingenuity. Taxis and rideshare services are also readily available.
UCCA Dune is hidden beneath the sands by the Bohai Sea in Beidaihe, a beachside retreat town 300 kilometers from Beijing long favored by everyone from ordinary residents to China’s central leadership. Designed by leading Chinese studio OPEN Architects, UCCA Dune has won many architectural awards since opening last October, and offers an aesthetic experience even beyond the exhibition on view.
Located within the Aranya Gold Coast—a resort community known for its innovative architectural and cultural offerings—a visit to UCCA Dune makes for a great chance to savor art, breath some ocean air, and get out of the city.

Getting to UCCA Dune
Trains depart throughout the day from Beijing Station and Beijing Nan Station to Beidaihe Station, the fastest of which take around 2 hours. Train tickets tend to sell out fast, especially in the summer, so book in advance. After arriving at the station, local buses, taxis, or rideshare services can take you to Aranya Gold Coast. Driving from Beijing, in part along the G1 Beijing-Harbin Expressway, will get you to the museum in around 4 hours. We recommend purchasing UCCA Dune tickets in advance to ensure a smooth process at the entrance to Aranya, where staff may ask to see your ticket.
Exhibitions at UCCA change frequently throughout the year, and admission fees vary based on the number and nature of the exhibitions on view. For UCCA Beijing, please purchase tickets on UCCA’s official WeChat account or visit the museum’s front desk, where cash and credit cards are accepted. (Unfortunately, our website does not currently support international ticket sales.) Discounted tickets are available for students with valid identification, seniors, and disabled guests.
Visitors to UCCA Dune may purchase tickets on UCCA’s official WeChat account and show their electronic proof of purchase for entrance to Aranya Gold Coast Community, or alternately purchase tickets at the entrance of Aranya. Students and Aranya residents may purchase discounted tickets by showing valid identification.
